 Grass Fed Kettle Beef Special

I love for the family to come home in the evening and be greeted by the wonderful smell of a savory dish simmering and filling the house with its heart-warming aroma.  My older boys recall these smells as part of their childhood memories and remark that when they catch a whiff of them elsewhere they are brought back to thoughts of home.  

This recipe is probably one of my favorites.  Kettle beef is actually a pot roast cut such as chuck or arm roast that has been cut into cubes. 

3 lb. Grass Fed Kettle Beef
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
3 T Potato Starch
Rice

Place raw beef, dry onion soup mix in crock pot and cook all day or night for approximately 8 hrs. on low.  Stir beef and the juices produced.  Mix potato starch in ½ cup of cold water stir into the crock pot to slightly thicken the au jus.  Prepare rice.  Serve the beef over rice.
